This landscape is unbeatable!
Wearing this unique staple piece made by Limi Feu (daughter to Yohji Yamamoto) - Kimono shirt dress. Sorry it is not perfectly ironed, I had been driving and in and out of the car most of the day and the truth is… you don’t really cary an iron or a steamer with you everywhere and this is actually the reality of your cotton clothes after a whole day wearing them.
I love the sleeves on this piece. You can use them as you see in the photos or you can actually fold them up using the button at the shoulder. The high slits on the side and the pockets make this pieces just perfect.
Nothing else to add, just enjoy the views…

We spent a few days in Palm Springs and took full advantage of those days not only to be in the pool but to actually explore Joshua Tree National Park. This is our second time around but we just can’t get enough of it. I love the desert!
J probably took more photos on film than he did on digital. It’s he’s true passion and to be honest we all know that film photography is something else. This is one of those shots he took with he’s Mamiya RZ67 camera. Amazing shot!
A couple of style notes:
This Lemaire croissant bag is the best travelling bag. Big enough to carry quite a few things you need and easy to carry either cross-body or shoulder. I’m so happy I got it. I take it with me everywhere now.
THOSE ACNE SNEAKERS! They are insane. I was unsure if I should have gone for the lace up or the velcro ones but at the end I decided for the lace up option and I’m very happy I did. Also the color… it was hard to pick the color since there are so many options but since most of my shoes are either black or white I decided to go for the beige/orange/yellow option to spice up my monochrome wardrobe. So good and such a staple piece!

I really don’t know where to start but I think I’ll start with the inevitable… the landscape. Most of you would know that I’m very specific with the background of my photos or let’s say - location. I love architecture so I tend to pick buildings that I find interesting. I also love the desert so every time I come to California I tend to take a lot of photoshoots in here. Now… sometimes you find something unexpected on your way and you just have to go for it.
I had read about Mono Lake and we had it on our road trip plan but what I didn’t know is that seeing it live would be sooooooooo much better than the photos I had seen online. This place is an absolute jewel and I can assure you anything I can tell you here won’t prepare you for what it actually is so if you happen to have the opportunity go visit.
This is a shallow saline soda lake with numerous tufa towers emerging from the water and a small island in the middle. There is no fish in the lake but I can tell you I have never seen so many butterflies as I have seen here. It’s truly magical.
Now about my outfit… this dress is one of my favourite pieces I bought at COS this season. I cannot tell you how many times people have stopped me in the streets to ask me where I got it so I made sure to leave you the link here. I also need to mention this amazing sunglasses I just got at Acne. Square frame with yellow lenses. You know what “they” say about yellow lenses right? Well, they put you in a good mood so to say. They help you focus and reduce fatigue in more technical words. I felt like in a constant movie scene (due to the colors you get through) driving with them through desert and mountains. So good!

One of our dream trips has always been to do a road trip across U.S.A.. East coast to west coast. All the way with an RV or even better with an AIRSTREAM. For that we would want to have at least a whole month so since we were a little short on time we decided to do the other dream road trip… CALIFORNIA.
So we started in L.A., visited some friends, and from there straight to Palm Springs. So here’s another post fully photographed in Palm Springs this time by the windmills iconic landscape. I can’t get enough of this blurry blue tones and the sand merging with the sky.
Here I’m wearing a Club Monaco linen jumpsuit that I actually bought a couple of years ago and still can’t get enough of it. It’s so confortable and fresh. Best thing to travel in! Since this one is no longer available I give you a few other options below.

We took this photos the moment we entered Palm Springs while looking for the Rotating D’Angelo house which unfortunately we couldn’t reach as it is private property in a preserved area. As you know I am passionate about mid-century modern architecture and we always do our tours around town every time we are in Palm Springs. No luck this time though with spotting this jewel.
On another note, I never seen Palm Springs as windy as this time. The sand was coming at us as waves in the sea and in this photos I think you can imagine what I mean. This beautiful and super comfy dress from AVN is so oversized (which I absolutely LOVE) that it gained a total different silhouette with the wind.
